A Zoho automation is a pair Kylo creates in your Zoho org: a workflow rule and a webhook action. The rule decides when to fire, and the action posts the lead to Kylo’s webhook. You install and uninstall them from the Automation tab. See Install Zoho automations for the steps.

The model

  1. You select Install. Kylo finds or creates the webhook action and the workflow rule in the Leads module.
  2. When a lead event matches the rule, Zoho posts the lead’s merge fields to /api/webhooks/zoho on Kylo. The post carries your connection’s secret in the x-kylo-zoho-webhook-secret header, not in the URL, so it cannot leak into Zoho’s URL logs. Only your org’s events resolve.
  3. A trigger that points at the automation, and the campaign that uses the trigger, decide what Kylo does with the event. See Send triggers.

The six automations

“Needs a phone value” means the workflow rule fires only when Mobile or Phone is not empty. The tag-gated automation fires on every create or edit with a phone value, and Kylo applies the tag check when the event arrives.

Statuses on the tab

Edition limits

Workflow rules and webhooks depend on your Zoho edition. When Zoho does not offer them, Install fails with “Your Zoho plan doesn’t include automation. Upgrade Zoho CRM to use it.”
Editing or deleting the Kylo-named rules or webhook actions in Zoho breaks the trigger. Manage them from the Automation tab only.
