The channel selector
The page header has a Channel selector. Chatbot is the default and shows the website chat bubble. WhatsApp shows a phone preview. The list also includes Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, Email, Telegram, and SMS, which are not available yet. Picking one shows the channel name followed by “is not available yet.” A WhatsApp pick with no connection shows “Not connected” and “Connect WhatsApp before using it in the playground.” Select View all Channels to open Channels. The second tab changes with the channel: Display for Chatbot, Connection for the others.Overview
Display
The Display tab styles the website bubble. Changes apply to the live bubble after you save them.Connection
For WhatsApp, Connection shows Connected phone number with the display name and a status dot, a Manage button, and the Channel enabled switch (“Pause this line without disconnecting it.”). Manage opens Manage WhatsApp with the status, the account id, the token hint, and the webhook state, and offers Disconnect, which asks “Disconnect WhatsApp?” With no connection, the tab shows the connect dialog entry instead.Actions
Agent actions lists the tool groups available to this agent, with the tools in each. The note reads “Tools this agent may use. Enable or disable them on the Tools page.” The tab is read-only. Change tools on Build, then Tools. See Agent tools. What a test turn does
Each message you send runs one agent turn and stores the thread as a Playground conversation. The turn uses your saved tools, so a test can write to Zoho or send an email if the instructions say so. A WhatsApp template cannot be sent from the Playground, because there is no recipient. A reply spends credits like a live reply, and a paused plan refuses the turn with “This agent is paused until the plan is paid.”Saving
Edits on Overview and Display raise the bar with Discard and Save changes. A failed save shows “Could not save. Try again.”Conversations
Read the threads your agent has had.
