After you connect, check three things: the connection details Kylo stored, the webhook state, and a real message through the Playground. Do this before you build a campaign on the channel.

Before you start

1

Find the WhatsApp card

On Channels, the WhatsApp card shows Manage when Kylo holds a connection and Connect when it does not. The card does not show health. A connection whose token died still shows Manage, so check the next step.
2

Open the Connection tab

Select Manage. The WhatsApp page has two tabs, Connection and Templates. Connection shows a table:A Disconnected status means the token died and Kylo’s refresh could not save it. Reconnect, see WhatsApp token lifecycle.
3

Check the webhook state

Open Playground, set the Channel selector to WhatsApp, and select the Connection tab. Select Manage on the Connected phone number card. The dialog titled Manage WhatsApp lists the status, the account id, the token hint, and the webhook as Subscribed or Not subscribed. Subscribed means Kylo’s Meta app receives your account’s events. Not subscribed is expected after an access token connection and means replies from customers do not reach Kylo until the account is subscribed to Kylo’s Meta app.
4

Send a first message

On the same Playground page, use the phone preview to send a message. The agent answers with your saved instructions. Then message the number from your second phone and open Conversations. The inbound thread should appear within seconds with the agent’s reply.
The WhatsApp channel is verified when the Connection tab reads Connected, the webhook reads Subscribed, and a message from a second phone gets a reply.

If something is off

Next: create a template

Write the first message Kylo can send to a lead.
