Signing up creates your account and your workspace together. The flow has three form steps, an email check, and a password step. Plan for about five minutes.

Before you start

  • An email address you can open now. The confirmation link expires 30 minutes after Kylo sends it.
  • A mobile number, if you want to give one. It is optional.
  • A name for the workspace. Kylo suggests one from your details, and you can change it.

Open the sign-up page and enter your details

Go to /signup. The first step is titled Let’s set up your account. Choose Individual or Organization.
  • Individual asks for Full name, Email, and Mobile number.
  • Organization adds a required Company name field.
Select Continue. The name must be at least two characters, the email must be valid, and an Organization account needs a company name. Each field shows its message in red if it fails, for example “Enter a valid email”.

Describe your workspace

The second step is titled Your workspace. Workspace name is required and starts with a name built from your details. The other fields depend on the account type:The currency field starts from the country of your mobile number. It becomes the workspace currency, so check it before you continue. Select Continue, or Back to change step 1.

Say where you heard about Kylo

The third step is titled Where did you hear about Kylo? Pick one chip: Google, LinkedIn, Instagram, A colleague, WhatsApp, An event, or Other. If you pick Other, the Tell us where field becomes required. Select Create account.If the email already has an account, the form shows “That email is already registered.” with a Sign in instead. link. If sending fails you see “Try again in a moment.” or “Could not send the verification email. Try again.”

Open the confirmation link

Kylo moves you to /signup/verify, titled Check your email, and sends a link to the address you entered. The page states that the link expires in 30 minutes. If the email does not arrive, wait for the Resend countdown to finish and select Resend. If you typed the wrong address, select Wrong email? Change it to return to step 1.Open the link. A valid link lands on a page titled Email verified with the text “Continue to choose a password.” An expired or malformed link shows “This link is not valid or has expired.” and sends you back to the email screen to request a new one.

Choose a password

On Choose a password, enter Password and Confirm password. The strength meter lists the rules: at least 8 characters, upper and lower case letters, and a number and a symbol. Kylo accepts at most 128 characters and refuses a password rated Weak with “Choose a stronger password”. Use the eye button to show or hide what you type.Select Continue. Kylo creates the workspace and opens /{workspaceId}/agents.
Your workspace exists and you are signed in. The Agents page is empty and reads “No agents yet”. If you leave in the middle of sign-up, Kylo keeps your answers in the browser, so reopening /signup resumes at the step you reached.
Kylo notifies the Kylo team when a new workspace is created. That notice contains the workspace name and owner name, not your password.
