This page walks the shortest path from nothing to an outbound WhatsApp message that an agent sent. Each step names the screen and links to the full guide.

Before you start

  • An email address you can open during sign-up. The confirmation link expires after 30 minutes.
  • A Meta account that can manage the business portfolio that owns your WhatsApp number.
  • A Zoho CRM org where you can create workflow rules, if you want outbound sends triggered from Zoho.
  • Time for approval. The Kylo team reviews every agent request, and the agent stays locked until the review ends.
1

Create your account and workspace

Open /signup. The form has three steps: your details, your workspace, and where you heard about Kylo. Select Create account, open the link Kylo emails you, then choose a password. Kylo creates the workspace and opens its Agents page.Full guide: Create an account.
2

Request an agent

On Agents, select New AI agent. Kylo asks 10 or 11 short questions about your business, then shows a summary with the agent name, type, and template. Select Confirm to send the request. The card shows Waiting for approval until the review ends.Full guide: Request an agent.
3

Connect WhatsApp

Open your approved agent, then Channels, and start the WhatsApp connection. The Connect WhatsApp dialog has two tabs, Facebook login and Access token. Facebook login is the faster path for most teams.Full guide: Choose a connection method.
4

Write instructions

Open Build, then Instructions. Write who the agent is, what it asks, and what it does with the answers. Use @ to name a tool the agent may call. Save from the bar that appears when you have unsaved changes.Full guide: Write agent instructions.
5

Test in the playground

Open Playground and chat with the agent before any customer does. The phone preview shows the conversation the way WhatsApp renders it.Full guide: Test in the playground.
6

Create a WhatsApp template

Open Outbound, then Templates, and create a template. Meta reviews it. The row shows In review, then Active or Rejected. Only an Active template can be sent.Full guide: Create a WhatsApp template.
7

Create a trigger and a campaign

Connect Zoho, then create a trigger on Triggers and bind it to the template in a campaign on Campaigns. A new campaign starts as Active.Full guide: Create a campaign.
8

Read the conversation

When the Zoho event fires, the agent runs one turn and sends the template. The thread appears in Conversations with delivery marks on each message.Full guide: Monitor sends.
You now have an agent that answers WhatsApp chats and starts conversations from Zoho events.
A WhatsApp token from Facebook login expires about 60 days after you connect. Kylo refreshes it on a daily sweep, so you do not need to act. See WhatsApp token lifecycle.
