A trigger tells Kylo which Zoho event to act on and which Zoho field holds the lead’s WhatsApp number. A campaign then attaches a template to the trigger.

Before you start

1

Open Triggers

Open your agent, select Outbound, then Triggers. A new agent shows No triggers yet and “Add a trigger to automate outbound messages.”
2

Select Create trigger and name it

Name is for your own use, for example “New lead hello”. The campaign list shows it in the Trigger column.
3

Pick the automation

Open Automation and pick an installed automation, for example Zoho: Lead created. If Zoho is not connected the field is disabled with the warning “Connect Zoho first. Triggers bind installed Zoho automations, so there is nothing to pick until the workspace connects.” If nothing is installed the warning reads “No Zoho automations installed. Install one on the Zoho CRM integration screen first.”
4

Choose the lead phone field

Lead phone field is Mobile or Phone. Pick the field your leads actually fill in. A lead with the other field filled and this one empty is skipped with phone_missing.
5

Pick a tag, if the automation needs one

When you pick Zoho: Update lead with tag, a Lead tag field appears. Pick the tag that starts the send. The hint reads “The trigger sends only to leads that carry this tag in Zoho.” If the tag list cannot load, the dialog says “Zoho tags could not be loaded. Reopen the dialog to retry.”
6

Select Create

Create stays disabled until the name and the automation are set, and until a tag is set when the automation needs one. The trigger appears in the list.
A trigger does nothing until a campaign uses it.

If creation fails

Next: create a campaign

Attach a template to the trigger.
