This guide puts the Kylo chat bubble on a page of your site and checks that it appears only where you allow it. The bubble answers with your agent’s instructions and data sources.

Before you start

  • An approved agent with a running plan. Replies from a paused agent do not go out.
  • Instructions saved on the agent. See Write agent instructions.
  • Access to edit your site’s HTML, or a developer who can paste a script before the closing </body> tag.
  • The exact domains that should show the bubble, for example www.example.com, and any you want to block while you test.
1

Open the Website bubble drawer

Open your agent, select Channels, and select Deploy on the Chatbot card. The Website bubble drawer opens. Kylo creates your embed key now, so the snippet is already under Widget setup.
2

Restrict the domains

Turn on Allow on specific domains. In Domains list one domain per line, for example:
Use a *. entry for subdomains, and add the bare domain on its own line if it needs the bubble too. Select Save changes. If the drawer says “Could not save. Try again.”, retry.Leave the switch off to allow any site. That is convenient for a quick test, but anyone who copies your snippet can run your agent from their site and spend your credits, so restrict it before launch.
3

Copy the snippet

Under Widget setup, copy the code. It looks like the example on Website chat with your host and your kw_ key in place of the placeholders.
4

Paste it on your site

Paste the snippet into the page template, before the closing </body> tag, so it loads on every page. For a site builder with a custom code area, paste it into the footer code section. Publish the change.
5

Test on an allowed domain

Open a page on an allowed domain in a fresh browser window. A round bubble appears in the bottom-right corner. Select it, send a question your instructions cover, and check the reply. Then open Conversations in Kylo and find the thread.
6

Test on a blocked domain

Load the same snippet from a domain that is not on the list, for example a local test page served from another hostname. No bubble appears. In the browser’s developer tools the request to /api/widget/{key}/config returns 403. That is the allow-list working, and the visitor sees nothing.
Your site shows the bubble on the domains you listed and nowhere else.
